The annual meeting, election of Board of Director members, and volunteer recognition.  Come help us celebrate the great success of CCE volunteers and staff!

CCE Wayne is proud to announce that reservations are being accepted for our Open House and Annual Meeting on Friday, November 1, starting with registration at 4:00. The Open House will include displays and presentations by staff.

Specific workshops and demonstrations will include:

  • Eating the Rainbow...how to add more color to your meals
  • Reducing sodium...adding flavor without adding salt
  • Learn about the Regional Agriculture Teams
  • Small Farm Business Resources to help you get started
  • Find out how residents are creating a healthier community
  • If you “Believe,” you can “Achieve” - See the activities 4-H has to offer
  • Explore the outdoors at “Camp Beechwood”
  • MG Tips for Fall...tasks that will help improve gardent and home landscapes
  • Ask a Master Gardener

A “passport” of activities will include drawing for door prizes. All of these events will take place at the CCE Wayne office at 1581 Rte 88N, Newark.

At 6pm, our annual meeting will begin.CCE Wayne will give their annual report by Board President Sally Billington, and staff and volunteers will be celebrated and honored! Four community members will also be elected to the Board of Directors.Voting will only take place at the meeting, and you do not have to attend the Open House to participate in voting.

The entire building will be open for viewing of displays and light food stations will be scattered throughout.This event is free, but reservations are required for the Open House so that we can plan appropriately. Registration will be accepted until Monday, Oct 28 – call now! You should be getting a meeting postcard or announcement in the mail if you are on our mailing list.
