Training Requirement
New farmers participating in FMNP and all farmers participating in the WIC VF program must undergo a formal training offered by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, and submit proof of training. Typically, proof of training is accomplished when the farmer completes the program's quiz offered at the end of the online webinar. New farmers in the FMNP must undergo formal training in their first year only. All farmers in the WIC VF program must undergo formal training every year. There are two types of webinars:
- an FMNP webinar
- an WIC VF webinar
