Join us at the Wayne County 4-H Livestock Auction on Friday, August 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Fair Grounds to support hardworking youth.
The Livestock Auction Program is a year-long project where 4-H youth purchase and commit to learning about the raising, finishing, and marketing of their animals. The project culminates with an auction at county fair, where the buyers that youth have recruited bid on an animal and the youth is able to benefit from the profits. These profits are used for the purchase of their next project animal. Youth are also encouraged to start an account to save additional money for college.
By purchasing an animal from a 4-H livestock auction, you are directly impacting youth development within the county, while enjoying fresh, responsibly raised and locally sourced meat.
