4-H is offering TWO weeks of camp this summer!
CCE will be holding two 1-week summer camps this year - Camp Beechwood will take place in Sodus from July 8th to 12th, and our new Gardening & Cooking Camp will take place at our office in Newark from July 22nd to 26th.
Camp Beechwood runs from July 8th to 12th. Each summer, the Wayne County 4-H Program offers a 1-week day camp for youth aged 5 (completed kindergarten) to 12 years of age, at Beechwood State Park, on the shores of Lake Ontario in Sodus, New York.
4-H Camps provide a safe, fun experience in an outdoor setting that allows youth the opportunity for physical and emotional growth. Campers learn leadership, team building, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills while engaging in outdoor adventure.
New this year, we will be offering a “Gardening & Cooking Camp” from July 22nd to 26th; this camp will allow campers to learn gardening techniques, practice cooking skills, and create various nature crafts. It is for youths ages 8 to 12 and will take place at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Newark – utilizing our new Learning Garden! The Gardening & Cooking Camp is brought to you by 4-H and Active People Healthy Wayne.
Camper registration is open. Last year, we filled up a waiting list in under 10 hours, so you’ll want to be prompt. Keep an eye on the 4-H Camps page of our website (https://ccewayne.org/4-h-youth-development/4-h-camps) for more information!
Space is limited.
