Home Herb Garden Kit

CCE Wayne is providing free Farm to School (F2S) Home Herb Garden Kits to students and families this spring! Kits include seeds for Basil, Cilantro, Chives, and Dill; gardening information; and directions for activities that you and your family can do throughout the season. 

The kits were mailed to the address that you provided during registration, they were sent out the week of May 17th, 2021.

Throughout the summer we'll be sharing tips, videos, and resources to help your garden grow! You'll also learn how to harvest your herbs and make tasty, healthy recipes.

Materials Included in the Kit

The activity kit that was mailed in the kit is also available here. We also included recipes for you to try with the herbs you are growing and a coloring page for the kids. 

Seed Starting

Here is a short video to demonstrate the seed starting process. The seeds in this video are basil so be sure to read your seed packet for specific instructions to make sure you are meeting the needs of each type of seed.
